Return

Isaiah 31:6-7

Return to the One the Israelites have greatly rebelled against. For on that day each one will reject the silver and gold idols that your own hands have sinfully made.

God will protect Jerusalem and His people. He is coming again to rule and reign, and every knee will bow and confess that He is Lord. When He does, people will turn from their money and the false gods they’ve served. It will be too late, however, for many. Now is the time to turn to Him while we are still living in the age of grace.

Many in the church have fallen away to chase other things. Some fail to see the relevance of the church in the pursuit of the happiness of life. For others, serving God just isn’t convenient in their busy schedules. Some who have made a profession of faith fail to see the importance of discipleship and actually living out the faith they profess to have. To those who don’t make God a priority, He beckons with the call, “Return.”

If you have loved ones who have fallen out of church and into the clutches of the world, pray that God will draw them back in these last days. Prayer is much more effective in reaching the prodigal than arguments because it appeals to the One who knows exactly how to reach each lost or straying soul. Pray for your children and grandchildren to see their God given purpose and desire to follow it. Pray that your loved ones will develop a close, personal relationship with Jesus Christ that is more than just a profession of faith in Him. Pray for a genuine and whole-hearted return of God’s people and for world-wide revival to generate the largest harvest of souls ever known to mankind. If your own heart has wandered in some area, answer His call to return today. He is coming again, and His reward is with Him.

Have a blessed day!
