A Glorious Crown

Isaiah 62:3

You will be a glorious crown in the LORD’s hand, and a royal diadem in the palm of your God.

A crown is a symbol of authority. God intends to make us a symbol of authority to the nations. He has given all authority to His Son, Jesus Christ, and Christ gave authority to us to make disciples of all nations. God dwells in us through the presence of His Holy Spirit, and when we walk in the Spirit, we walk in His authority.

A diadem is a jeweled headband of sovereignty. God will not only give us authority among the nations, but He will adorn us with beauty. He is fashioning us into rare jewels that carry His authority to accomplish His purpose.

We must remember that while God grants us His authority, we are not God. We are still in the palm of His hand to use as He sees fit. Whatever He has called us to do, we can do with His full authority, and He will stand behind us.

The Devil will try to rule over you with fear, intimidation, manipulation, and even domination. You, however, are a glorious crown in the LORD’s hand and a royal diadem in His palm. You need not surrender to the demands of the Devil. You have authority over any temptation the enemy brings your way, so use it. Resist the Devil, and he will flee. You will be amazed at how much you can take charge of your own life when you use your God-given authority to rule. Be a glorious crown and not a slave to bondage. You were created for royalty!
