Last Woman Standing

Ephesians 6:13

This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand.

The Devil cannot take away what God has rightfully given us, but he can make us give it up or even throw it away. God has ordained victory for us, but we lose many battles simply because we give up and lose faith. Granted, if the enemy can steal our faith, he can steal our blessing and prevent us from fulfilling our destiny in Christ.

For this reason, we must take up the full armor of God and resist the schemes of the Devil. When he hurls hurt and insults at us, we must continue to stand and not lose heart. If we give in to the pressure to seek vengeance, complain, look for comfort in another source, or to take a matter into our own hands, we give him a stronghold to continue to steal from us. Spiritual warfare is really more about “last woman standing,” rather than “attack and defeat.”

Pay close attention to The Message Bible’s translation of this verse:

Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting, you’ll still be on your feet.

Satan’s attacks against us are much more than we can handle on our own, and we are foolish to think we can defeat him in our own strength. We are not, however, alone in our battles; on the contrary, such battles are the Lord’s. He fights for us. Our goal is to remain standing until He has finished defeating our enemies. If we leave our post or succumb to the Devil’s schemes to deceive us, we forfeit the victory God has already won for us. The last woman standing will reap the reward.

Stand firm in your fight today. God is fighting for you. Your goal is to remain standing and receive the victory.

Have a blessed day!
