Isaiah 43:1-2

Now this is what the LORD says – the One who created you, Jacob, and the One who formed you – Israel – “Do not fear for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine. I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire, and the flame will not burn you.”

This passage does not need much commentary. We only need to meditate on the written word and know that God created us and redeemed us. We are His. Regardless of what we may encounter in this life, He is with us, and He won’t let go.

The fact that we belong to Him and that He is with us at all times means that anything can happen at any moment. He knows our needs, our heartaches, and our struggles, and He has the power to help us overcome them. He hurts with us and rejoices with us. He works behind the scenes to open doors no man can close and to shut doors no man can open, all on our behalf. He works all things together for our good and His glory, and He never abandons us to fend for ourselves. He watches over every step we take because we are His.

Recite these verses as a promise today, and worship the God who made you.
